Will You Survive The Upcoming Zombie Plague?

I can almost hear people’s thoughts before they even begin to read what I am about to say; “Neal has finally gone off the deep end, talking about zombies now.” When someone mentions the word zombie the first thing that comes to peoples mind are brain dead flesh eating ghouls, like the ones seen in the move Resident Evil, or on the TV series The Walking Dead.

But you know if you look zombie up in the dictionary, one of the definitions you will find is: “an offensive term for a person considered to lack energy, enthusiasm, or the ability to think independently.” If you apply that definition, there certainly are a great many zombies walking amongst us right now. Zombies don’t think, they don’t prepare, they act on pure animalistic instinct; and their only instinct is to survive.

If you want to see zombies in action, just go to YouTube and type in the words Black Friday Mayhem and watch a few of the videos; then you tell me that those people don’t look exactly like the hordes of zombies you see in movies, except, instead of human flesh, these zombies are fighting for waffle irons, iPods and bed sheets.

If these people have so little consideration for their fellow human beings that they will trample them and pepper spray them, just to get to the front of the line on a sale item, how do you think they will act when our economy collapses?

People really need to rent the movie Live Free or Die Hard and watch it; not for entertainment purposes, but to get an idea of what lies ahead for this country. I am not saying some bad guys are going to create a ‘fire sale’ which induces a complete collapse of society as we know it. Everyone knows that our economy is in bad shape, and most people are not convinced by the reassuring statements issued by our government that things will get better.

Still, I don’t think most people realize how perilous the situation is. The signs are all there for anyone who has the courage to face the facts; our way of life is going to undergo a drastic turn for the worse, and if you haven’t prepared for it, you are going to be in a world of hurt.

There is an acronym used by many writers on the internet, ITEOTWAWKI, which stands for It’s The End Of The World As We Know It, and that is exactly what this country is facing right now. Whether the upcoming systematic collapse and meltdown of our economy has been orchestrated, or if it is due to negligence is of little import. The truth is that it is coming and you had damn well better prepare for it!

We have people in this country who don’t know who the Vice President of the United States is, or any of the cabinet members, but by God they know everything about the Kardashian sisters. There are people who don’t understand the first thing about liberty, or the Bill of Rights, but they can tell you who the quarterbacks were on the winning teams for the last 10 Superbowls. There are people who will spend their entire waking hours playing video games but who won’t spend an hour or two to read something educational; absolutely pathetic! These are the people who will not be prepared for when the zombie plague hits.

How much about your lives do you take for granted? You expect to wake up and have running water, electricity, phone, internet and TV service…all these things you take for granted. Yet aside from running water those things are insignificant should a crisis arise. Most people haven’t given a moment’s thought to what they would do if the store shelves were empty, or the stores shut down completely. What would they do if the money in their pockets suddenly became worthless? Could they feed themselves for more than two or three days if that happened? You see the madness that takes place every year on Black Friday; imagine those same people doing whatever they could to get their hands on food.

What is going to happen is that there will be widespread rioting and looting by those who have not prepared. Those who have are going to have to defend what they have from those who have not been prudent enough to do the same. That brings to light another issue altogether. Are you prepared to take a person’s life to defend yours, your families, or your food supplies should the need arise? Many of you may not have given that much thought, some might not even own a firearm. If and when the time comes, it will be too late to give it any thought; you will have made preparations, or you will become a victim…plain and simple.

Have you thought about what you would do should you be forced to evacuate your home and seek shelter elsewhere? What would you take? Would you pack up your wedding photos, the titles to your home and vehicles, as well as insurance paperwork and identification? Or would you have camping gear, cookware, and hunting and fishing supplies?

There is something else that you also need to give some thought. If/when our economy does collapse and looting begins, what do you think is going to happen? Of course the government is going to send out the National Guard and initiate martial law. Think back to when Hurricane Katrina hit, with the loss of essential services, food and supplies, then imagine that on a nationwide scale and then you may begin to see how bad things will get.

During Katrina they ‘suggested’ that people move to shelters for their own safety. How do you think the government will be able to handle 300 million people if there is a complete breakdown of our society? Don’t for a second think that they won’t herd us into FEMA concentration type camps where we will then be processed, tagged with RFID chips and be put to work as serfs for those who remain in control.

Just today I heard news about SB 1867, labeled as the National Defense Authorization Act, SB 1867 was drafted in secret meetings by Senators John McCain and Carl Levin. Even the ACLU is up in arms about the implications of this bill. From a statement made on their webpage, the ACLU states, “The Senate is going to vote on whether Congress will give this president—and every future president — the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world. Even Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) raised his concerns about the NDAA detention provisions during last night’s Republican debate. The power is so broad that even U.S. citizens could be swept up by the military and the military could be used far from any battlefield, even within the United States itself.

On the surface it may sound like just another bill in the global war on terror, but is it? Numerous other pieces of legislation have already declared certain militia groups, or libertarian minded individuals as being considered possible domestic terrorists. So, if YOU value your liberty, and if this bill becomes law, it will be an open declaration of war upon YOU, by YOUR GOVERNMENT. Our law enforcement agencies are already militarized and have made it clear that a good many of them are willing to trample upon our rights. Don’t for a second doubt that the same could be said about a frightening percentage of the members of our armed forces who would ‘only be following orders’ if they fire upon American citizens.

I’m telling you, it’s all part of the plan that has been moving forward in small increments. That is why, even though I have nothing against Ron Paul, I do not hold out much hope for this country. These people who are behind the scenes and at the root cause of the upcoming collapse of our economy are, if nothing, patient. If Ron Paul were to be elected, it would slow their plans down, but it WOULD NOT halt them.

Eventually our economy is going to collapse, and sooner than most people are willing to admit. When it does the floodgates will open and the zombies will be set loose upon society. The motto of the Boy Scouts of America is Be Prepared. I hope that after reading this, if you already haven’t, you take steps to do just that. If not, then as a Facebook friend is fond of saying…DOOM ON YOU!
